Real Madrid promise legal action against car attackers

Real Madrid have identified and promised to pursue legal action against three individuals who allegedly attacked the cars of players Gareth Bale and Jese Rodriguez following Sunday night's defeat to Barcelona

According to footage acquired by TV station Cuatro, a few irate fans were waiting for the players at the club's Valdebebas training ground, after the team had flown back to the Spanish capital in the early hours on Monday morning.

On Monday night, the club released a statement saying they had identified the fans, one of whom was a Real Madrid member.

"Details of this member's identity have been sent to the Club's Discipline Commission, requesting that it expel the individual from Real Madrid for what is considered a very serious offence," the statement read.

The member faces a stadium ban if found guilty of the club's disciplinary investigation, but that might only be the start of his punishments.

Real Madrid also informed Spain's National Anti-Violence Commission of the fans' indentities for possible criminal charges, and the club will also pursue "any applicable legal action against the individuals responsible for these incidents."
