Florentino Perez: Raul wants to come back to Real Madrid

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says that legendary club striker Raul is eager to return to the club.

- Train: Real Madrid's fickle faithful
- Moreno: Plenty of blame to go around for Real

Raul, 37, is the highest goalscorer and appearance maker in the Spanish capital outfit's decorated history after netting 323 times in 741 competitive matches.

The record Champions League goalscorer hung up his boots earlier this summer after spending two seasons at Qatari side Al Sadd and has set his sights on returning to the Santiago Bernabeu in what is likely to be a coaching capacity.

"Raul wants to return to Real Madrid," Perez said, as reported in Marca. "He is a legend and this is his home."

Perez met with a group of delegates at Real Madrid's stadium on Wednesday to inform them of the club's accounts, with the European champions showing profits of 603.9 million euros.

The Los Blancos president also informed delegates that he intends to expel members of the Ultras Sur from the Santiago Bernabeu due to bad behaviour.

Perez has come under heavy criticism following his decision to allow Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso to leave the club this summer, with many fans pointing the finger at the 67-year-old in relation to Real Madrid's disappointing start to the season.
