RB Leipzig's Ralph Hasenhuttl solves visa problem ahead of Besiktas clash

RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl had to wait at immigration in Turkey after forgetting that he needed a visa to enter the country for the Champions League match at Besiktas.

Having drawn with Monaco in their first-ever Champions League match, Leipzig are embarking on their first away fixture in the competition.

And Hasenhuttl will be on the touchline after he was able to obtain the necessary documentation at the airport.

"It was our fault," the 50-year-old was quoted as saying by Leipziger Volkszeitung. "They were all really friendly at the airport."

Leipzig's squad trained at the Besiktas stadium on Monday night, and midfielders Naby Keita and Kevin Kampl took part at least in the first 20 minutes of the session despite having minor injuries.

"This will be a good test for our young team," Hasenhuttl said at his prematch news conference. "We won't be allowed to make a lot of mistakes."

Leipzig have struggled away from home so far this season, losing two of their three road trips in Bundesliga.

However, Besiktas, who currently top Group G after a 3-1 win at Porto, have so far managed only one draw from seven games against Bundesliga clubs and have not won any of their last six Champions League home matches.
