Rangers' Emerson Hyndman says he's grown accustomed to new managers

Rangers' U.S. international midfielder Emerson Hyndman says he has already grown accustomed to a change in managers in his career.

Hyndman, 20, saw five full-time or caretakers managers come and go at Fulham after joining the London club's academy in 2011. He then moved to Bournemouth last summer before being sent on loan to Rangers, where he made his debut in January.

But after manager Mark Warburton parted ways with Rangers less than a month later, Hyndman says he and his teammates have been able to adjust quickly.

"I'm quite young but at the same time I have had quite a few different managers so I kind of know what the whole process is like, obviously from bad experiences but at the same time it has helped me adjust to knowing what it's like," the American said.

"There are a lot of other players in the squad that know the feeling as well. As professionals we just have to keep doing our job and whoever is in charge we have to fight for them and try to get points."

Rangers caretaker boss Graeme Murty claimed Rangers failed to match Dundee's battling qualities during the first half of their 2-1 defeat at Dens Park last weekend.

But Hydman is determined to show they have the stomach for the fight when they take on Premiership bottom club Inverness on Friday night.

"Sometimes when you play in those type of games it's difficult," Hyndman said. "It might look from the inside that we lacked fight but I know my players and the squad and we are all fighting out there.

"It was a difficult game, we were losing 50-50 battles in the first half especially all over the park, and obviously that doesn't look good. It's something that we are looking to fix for the next game and hopefully do better."

Rangers slipped six points behind in-form Aberdeen last weekend in the race for second spot but Hyndman denied they were now under serious pressure.

"I wouldn't say pressure," he said. "There is always pressure so it's not more or less, it has always been the same.

"The fans are very close to us as a team and we want to impress them. Obviously when games go like that last weekend it's not the best and we expect that reaction. We are looking to put it right this weekend."
