Canada international Fraser Aird leaves Rangers to join Falkirk

Canada international Fraser Aird has left Rangers to join Falkirk.

The right-sided player has signed with the Championship club until the end of the season after agreeing a deal to terminate his Rangers contract.

The 21-year-old made 83 appearances for Rangers but only played four times under Mark Warburton and spent most of last year on loan with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Falkirk manager Peter Houston told the club's official website: "Fraser is a player who I have been keen to bring to the club and one that we have worked hard to be able to secure.

"He is versatile across the right hand side of the pitch and is a player who can add something a bit different to what we already have.

"Fraser has had good experience with Rangers and most recently with Vancouver in Canada. I believe he can come in and excite the fans, he's certainly a player with a bit of quality and I look forward to working with him.''
