Chris Ramsey: QPR need miraculous run of form after Everton defeat

Chris Ramsey admits that Queens Park Rangers need a "miraculous run of form" to avoid relegation from the Premier League after losing 2-1 at home to Everton on Sunday.

Seamus Coleman's excellent finish put Everton ahead against the run of play in the first half before substitute Eduardo Vargas slammed home a QPR equaliser shortly after the hour.

The hosts piled forward in search of a winner but Aaron Lennon provided a sucker-punch 13 minutes from time with his first goal for the Toffees.

The defeat is QPR's fifth in a row since Ramsey was confirmed as manager and sees QPR remain on 22 points, four points adrift of safety ahead of crunch visits to fellow strugglers West Brom and Aston Villa.

"I don't think we need a miracle but we do need a miraculous run of form to get us out of this," Ramsey said. "But I think we're capable of doing that. How many points do we need?

"I think four wins out of eight will probably keep us up this season. I think it'll be a low total. We need six points against West Brom and Villa.

"There's no point in saying, 'we're going to go there and try to get a point' -- we need to win games and pretty quickly."

After those two games, QPR face Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester City before finishing the season at home to Newcastle and away to Leicester.
