Diego Simeone's son Giovanni has said he would like to play for his father's club Atletico Madrid one day.
Madrid-born Simeone Jr. -- a 19-year-old striker for River Plate in Argentina -- told Diario Diez that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps by forging a career in European football.
"I will try and give my best so I can follow in the footsteps of my old man," he said. "My first objective is to get to Europe, and then time will tell.
"Every player would love to play in the best European leagues. If I could choose, of course I would like to play at Atletico Madrid because of all my old man has done there.
"Atletico has given so much to my father, and I would like to share that with him and be at that club."
