Wales' Chris Gunter wants Gareth Bale's private plane to get family to Albania friendly

It's a special day for Chris Gunter and Wales.

Chris Gunter will become Wales' most capped player on Tuesday night, but may need teammate Gareth Bale's help to get his family out to watch the game in Albania.

Gunter is set to overtake Neville Southall's 92-game haul, but joked that he will have to ask Bale to lend him his Cessna Citation XL Plus private jet (valued at £9.35m) to bring his family along.

"I'll ask Gaz if I can borrow his plane," Gunter said. "It's not the easiest place to get to, but if the Welsh fans can do...

Chris Gunter: Wales know how to recover from setbacks

Chris Gunter is confident Wales will count on past successes to recover from their World Cup setback against Georgia.

Wales dropped two World Cup qualifying points against opponents 127 places below them in the FIFA rankings with a 1-1 draw in Cardiff on Sunday.

The result saw Wales slip from first to third place in Group D, with wins for Serbia and the Republic of Ireland taking them two points clear of Chris Coleman's Dragons.

"You're not going to win every game in international football, as nice...

Chris Gunter: Euro 2016 success can spur Wales' qualifying campaign

Chris Gunter said Wales' Euro 2016 success has made them more determined to achieve World Cup qualification.

Wales start out on the "Road to Russia" against Moldova in Cardiff on Monday night on the back of a European Championship campaign that sent the nation into football frenzy.

Chris Coleman's side reached the semifinal of Euro 2016 before losing to eventual winners Portugal -- Wales' best-ever performance at a major tournament.

"When you get a taste of something, you want more of it," said Gunter.

Wales' "family spirit" embodied by Gareth Bale, Chris Gunter connection

Bale and Gunter came through the Welsh ranks together. Despite taking different paths since, they form a strong spine.

It was March 2006, and Wales were competing in the elite round of the European U-17 tournament. The right-back was Chris Gunter. Down the left was a certain Gareth Bale. Ten years on, Gunter is still patrolling the right, and Bale is the most expensive player in the world.

As they prepare to face Russia in Toulouse Monday, it's one of the things that sets nations like Wales apart. Unlike bigger nations, where players come and go from the national team setup all the time, once you prove you're...

Chunuonsee is not just a fan, but a professional footballer with Bangkok United who played alongside the likes of Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Real Madrid's Gareth Bale in the Wales under-17 team a decade ago.
