Clement, Makelele, positive hires towards a turnaround at Swansea

Paul Clement and Claude Makelele worked together at PSG and are now tasked with saving relegation-threatened Swansea.

For the first time all season there is a palpable sense of positive change and progression at Swansea. Under present form, Saturday's match against Arsenal should be cause for serious concern. This club managed to ship three goals against Middlesbrough (tied with Hull for the league's most anemic offence with just 17 goals); there might be no limit to the damage the league's second best attack (42 goals) could do.

However, with ambitious new boss Paul Clement at the helm and a rush of proactivity...

Martin Olsson a bright spot for unconvincing Sweden vs. Ireland

Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped create the equaliser despite an unconvincing performance as Sweden came away with a 1-1 draw against Ireland on Monday that could leave both teams facing an uphill battle to advance to the knockout rounds at Euro 2016.

Sweden finished the game without a single shot on target as Ibrahimovic's cross was headed into his own net by Ireland's Ciaran Clark in the 71st minute. It was a slightly lucky escape for the Swedes, as Ireland created the more dangerous chances throughout...

Norwich probe racist chant allegations

Martin Olsson was charged by the FA for making contact with referee Simon Hooper on Sunday.

Norwich City are investigating allegations of racist behaviour by "two or three" of their fans during the club's first Championship match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Life outside the Premier League couldn't have started any worse for Norwich. In their first competitive match since relegation from the top division, the Canaries lost 1-0 at Wolves, saw one of their top players push a referee in the chest after being shown a red card and then received complaints of racial abuse.

Norwich said Monday...
