Dynamo's DaMarcus Beasley, Seattle Sounders win MLS Fair Play awards

As focus turns to the conference finals, check out the best goals so far in the 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley won the MLS Fair Play Award on Tuesday, while the Seattle Sounders won the team award.

Beasley only committed .54 fouls per game in 24 appearances, 22 of them starts, and did not receive a single yellow or red card all season.

The Sounders had the fewest disciplinary points, which are tallied for fouls, cards and postmatch disciplinary actions. Seattle had 14.45 points per game, just edging Toronto FC's 14.91 points.

DaMarcus Beasley inks new deal to stay with Houston Dynamo

Veteran defender DaMarcus Beasley signed a new contract with the Houston Dynamo on Friday.

Beasley, 34, was a free agent this offseason but had long been negotiating a return to Houston, where he has played for the last two and a half seasons.

Dynamo general manager Matt Jordan told the Houston Chronicle that Beasley's deal was for one season. Beasley made $750,000 last season, though terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

NYCFC grabbed another away win, this time in Houston, cementing their spot as a contender in the MLS playoffs.

DaMarcus Beasley doesn't plan on retiring at the end of this Major League Soccer season, but he doubts he'll be back with the Houston Dynamo in 2017.
