Too little too late as Ademola Lookman leads Everton to first Europa League win

A young and much-changed Everton squad ended their wretched Europa League campaign on a belated positive note as Ademola Lookman's and Nikola Vlasic's exciting attacks secured a 3-0 win against Apollon Limassol.

The seven substitutes, who had each yet to boast a minute of first-team football before this match, did not underline massive change for the team as Everton's core group was preparing for the upcoming Merseyside derby. Neither manager Sam Allardyce nor any of the starting XI from the 2-0...

Time for Everton players to grab season by the neck vs. West Ham

It is has taken a lot of money and not much time for Everton to descend into a state of complete chaos. This has been an expensive and sudden fall from grace, with over £200 million spent in two seasons to assemble a squad that excels at nothing and struggles with everything.

If the measure of a team is their response to setbacks, this group of players may be beyond saving as each defeat seems to have no impact. After shipping five goals at home to Atalanta on Thursday, Everton conceded four...

It's time for a stubborn Ronald Koeman to change course, system at Everton

Ronald Koeman addresses Everton's growing injury concerns and their struggles so far in the league.

When Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park on Sunday, there can be no room for the litany of excuses offered up in the aftermath of a disappointing draw against 10-man Apollon Limassol on Thursday. No English team has begun the Europa League group stage with fewer points after two games.

Another poor European outing and two wins in nine matches in all competitions adds pressure ahead of a fourth successive home game this weekend. A considerable change of tactics seems imperative, with manager...

Nikola Vlasic bright spot in uninspiring Europa performance for Everton

Everton created a piece of unwanted history on Thursday night as their failure to beat 10-man Apollon Limassol signalled the worst-ever start to a Europa League group stage by an English team.

Apollon began the night with 19 defeats in 22 European away games and 78 goals conceded in that time. This home game against notoriously poor travellers was an opportunity for Everton to respond to the humiliating defeat against Atalanta in the previous round of matches.

Instead, the same blunt tactics and...

Everton complete signing of forward Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split

Everton have signed forward Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split on a five-year deal.

Vlasic, 19, who has penned a contract until 2022 at Goodison Park, becomes Everton's ninth signing of the summer, with the Toffees paying a fee of £8 million, which could rise to £10m.

The Croatia international came up against Everton in the Europa League earlier this month and he is looking forward to embarking on his new challenge.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to play for this big club," he told...

Everton target Vlasic given permission to leave Croatia under-21 training

Everton's chances of signing Hajduk Split midfielder Nikola Vlasic received a boost after the teenager was given permission to leave national team duty with Croatia's under-21 side.

Everton are interested in the 19-year-old, whom manager Ronald Koeman got to see first hand in their recent Europa League qualifier, and on Monday Hajduk club president Ivan Kos admitted they could sell their prize asset before Thursday's deadline.

In a tweet the Croatia Football Federation confirmed Vlasic had on Tuesday...
