Rumour Rater: Arsenal eye Gelson Martins on loan; PSG want Julian Weigl

It's January, and the transfer window is open. Which players are likeliest to move before the window closes at the end of the month? David Amoyal rates the top rumours from around world football.

Gelson Martins to Arsenal: 40 percent

After his controversial move from Sporting Lisbon, Gelson Martins has failed to gain a spot in Atletico Madrid's starting XI, pushing Los Colchoneros to consider loaning out the Portuguese winger. In the background, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on this situation,...

PSG eye Paredes, Lobotka if move for Dortmund's Weigl fails - sources

Members of the PSG side took some time out of their Doha training camp to enjoy a camel race, with their own personalised racers.

PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain are interested in both Zenit St Petersburg's Leandro Paredes and Celta Vigo's Stanislav Lobotka, but Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl remains the priority as sporting director Antero Henrique chases a defensive midfielder this month, sources have told ESPN FC.

According to one of the sources, PSG bosses have recognised Tuchel's need for a No. 6 to partner Marco Verratti and ease the pressure on...

Bundesliga final word: Bayern cruise to title as Dortmund, rivals regroup

At the very top, a Bundesliga season that started with FC Bayern Munich showing uncharacteristic weakness, and firing Carlo Ancelotti before Oktoberfest had even begun, ended much like the one before.

The Meisterschaft ("championship") parties inside the stadium and in the city centre felt forced, devoid of...

Dortmund taking a 'great step forward' after successive draws - Weigl

Julian Weigl said that Borussia Dortmund's 1-1 draw in Leipzig on Saturday was a big improvement over Monday's result with the same scoreline against Augsburg.

Weigl, 22, told Sky after the match: "It was great step forward if you compare this game with our 1-1 draw against Augsburg.

"We were more agile, pressed higher. It was a very attractive match for the spectators and with a bit more luck we can take the lead here but were caught offside too often.

"We managed to come back after going behind...

Aubameyang, Philipp earn perfect 10s, as Dortmund rout Monchengladbach

Borussia Dortmund keep marching on at the top of the table, dismantling Borussia Monchengladbach in an impressive 6-1 showing at the Westfalenstadion on Saturday night.

After Bayern Munich dropped points at the Allianz Arena on Friday night in a 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg, it was on BVB to take advantage and move three points clear of their Bavarian rivals -- and they did just that with a demonstration of power.
