PSG attitudes worry Tuchel as wait for title continues

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel said he is "worried" by his players' poor attitude after they lost 3-2 away at Nantes in Ligue 1 on Wednesday to further delay winning the title.

PSG have now lost two consecutive Championnat matches for the first time since November 2011 after last weekend's 5-1 humiliation in Lille, and it is the first time since March 2009 that PSG have conceded three goals or more in consecutive league fixtures.

"We played very badly, and Nantes deserved to win," he told Canal+. "It was an easy match to analyse -- it was a very bad game on our part, and we deserved to lose.

"We did not perform well. Across 90 minutes, there was no performance from us -- it is not possible to win like this. We will always defend the players if we try to play and be a team, but it is not possible to defend them here.

"We have nine players back in Paris training and we saw the consequences. I do not know if those players will be back on Sunday [Monaco at home].

"We have no right to show this attitude when wearing the PSG shirt. I am worried ahead of the Coupe de France final [against Rennes]."

Despite numerous absences, Tuchel left Kylian Mbappe out to preserve him for the Monaco clash in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France final, but stressed that it was not a sanction against the France international because of his recent criticism of his team's attitude.

"Kylian not being called up was my decision," he said. "There are reasons -- it was a decision between the player and me.

"This was not punishment. I cannot answer every interpretation. It was a decision made with Kylian. No science fiction, please."

PSG will attempt to confirm their eighth Ligue 1 title at home to Monaco on Sunday, but will be without the support of their ultras at Parc des Princes who will boycott the game in protest against the partial closure of their Auteuil end home.
