Edinson Cavani ruled out of PSG squad with hip injury

PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain's habit of missing one of their key attackers in their recent matches will continue in Toulouse on Saturday after Edinson Cavani was ruled out through injury.

The Uruguay international is not in coach Unai Emery's 18-man squad for the Ligue 1 clash and will be joined by Layvin Kurzawa, Thiago Motta and Kevin Trapp in missing out.

However, in some good news for the Spaniard, Brazilian superstar Neymar is back after missing the 4-1 Coupe de France win away at Sochaux and Adrien Rabiot is back after injury.

Cavani will not be in Toulouse because of a hip injury, according to PSG's website, after Neymar was rested for Sochaux and Kylian Mbappe was suspended in Lille.

Kurzawa has been ruled out with a thigh complaint, while Motta has been rested after making his comeback during midweek and Trapp is suspended after his red card at Stade Auguste Bonal.

With Real Madrid away in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie to come next week, missing the visit to Le Championnat's 15th-placed side could be just the rest El Matador and the France international, in particular, need ahead of the Santiago Bernabeu clash.

Hatem Ben Arfa has been left out of the travelling party once again, while regular third-choice goalkeeper Sebastien Cibois has stepped up to fill the void left by Trapp's absence.
