Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani has helped to organise a benefit match to aid children suffering from Down's syndrome with his latest charitable gesture.
The Uruguay international, who has scored 17 goals and provided two assists from just 15 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, has helped put on the game which will take place in his hometown of Salto.
Cavani, 30, will participate in the match at the 7,500-capacity Estadio Ernesto Dickinson in Salto on Dec. 28 with the local team to raise funds for the charity.
Cavani said in a promotional video: "This Dec. 28, at 18 hours [6 p.m.], we wait for you at the Dickinson Stadium in the most important game, 'Salto a la vida' [A jump to life]. A game that will go in aid of the Salto Down [Syndrome Association]. For a second straight year and with your support, we will win by many goals. We wait for you."

Last year, Cavani staged a benefit match to benefit children suffering from cancer.
Cavani, who has scored six goals from as many Champions League appearances so far this campaign, is idolised in his native Uruguay.
The former Napoli and Palermo man will return to Salto after PSG have fulfilled their obligations toward sponsors in Doha, Qatar, after the final Ligue 1 match of 2017 at home to Caen later this month.
Cavani, who assisted Kylian Mbappe's consolation goal in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat away at Bayern Munich, will be able to spend the festive period with his family and friends before returning to Paris in time for the trip to face Stade Rennes in the Coupe de France on Jan. 5. Ligue 1 action will return for Cavani and his teammates with a visit to Nantes the following week.
