Jerome Valcke's son Sebastien did work for PSG for 3 months - source

PARIS -- Jerome Valcke's son was employed by Paris Saint-Germain for three months in 2011, a source close to the club confirmed to ESPN FC, amid a bribery investigation concerning the former FIFA secretary general and PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Jerome Valcke is currently the subject of the Swiss federal prosecutors' criminal case for suspected bribery linked to World Cup broadcast rights along with Al-Khelaifi. Valcke has denied his son's involvement with PSG has anything to do with his investigation.

Valcke attempted to exonerate Al-Khelaifi when he spoke with L'Equipe and Le Monde last week after the allegations first surfaced.

The Qatari spoke publicly for the first time since the news after PSG's 4-0 Champions League win at Anderlecht and said he is "calm" despite the situation.

Al-Khelaifi also confirmed that he will be heard in Switzerland next week regarding his role with the beIN Media Group -- not PSG -- at the time of interest.

During his interview with L'Equipe, Valcke addressed Le Monde's claims that his son, Sebastien, was employed by the Ligue 1 club and stated his belief that he was only "a PSG employee for three months."

A source has confirmed to ESPN FC Valcke's comments to Le Monde regarding the three-month period, and Yahoo! Sport France has since refuted L'Equipe's claims that Sebastien was only there as a temporary employee.

According to the source, Sebastien had an indefinite contract -- so was employed full-time -- starting in late August of 2011.

While at Parc des Princes, he worked in the marketing sector as product chief -- notably on the PSG Kids brand -- before leaving the role of his own accord three months after his arrival.

Before Al-Khelaifi spoke with journalists at Anderlecht's Constant Vanden Stock stadium after another European victory for Unai Emery's men, the PSG's chief's lawyer, Francis Szpiner, told SFR Sport that his client refutes all allegations of corruption.

Szpiner added that the former Qatari tennis star is "totally relaxed" ahead of next week's appearance in Switzerland.
