PSG clear Edinson Cavani, four other starters to train ahead of Anderlecht

PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain have recalled Edinson Cavani, Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta and Layvin Kurzawa to a 21-man squad for Tuesday's final training session ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash away to Anderlecht.

PSG boss Unai Emery left all five regular starters out for the 2-1 win away at Dijon on Saturday, but they have been deemed fit enough to at least train ahead of the trip to Constant Vanden Stock.

After being included in the squad for the final training session in Paris, Thiago Silva was unable to prove his fitness and has consequently been left behind in order to continue his recovery from injury.

It is unclear whether Silva is now a doubt ahead of Le Classique away at Marseille on Sunday, but Cavani, Verratti, Motta and Kurzawa have all been retained for the Anderlecht trip.

Apart from Silva, PSG are at full strength for their visit to Belgium and will expect to make it nine points from a possible nine after wins over Celtic and Bayern Munich in the group stage.

Hatem Ben Arfa, Lorenzo Callegari and Remy Descamps are all listed as receiving treatment, so will not travel with the senior squad to Brussels but will also not feature in the UEFA Youth League this week.

Youth academy graduates Alec Georgen, Antoine Bernede and Moussa Diaby are all listed as available for Youth League duty.

PSG will train at their Camp des Loges facility on Tuesday morning before travelling to Belgium and Emery and an as yet unnamed played will then face the press in the evening.
