Ligue 1's Committee on Legal Affairs is set to consider a complaint from Hatem Ben Arfa on Tuesday relating to the player's omission from first-team training at Paris Saint-Germain. Ben Arfa, 30, was initially excluded from first-team sessions at the start of September. Last week his lawyer Jean-Jacques Bertrand contacted the league (LFP) after the former Nice and Newcastle attacker -- who is out of contract in June -- was demoted again. Le Parisien reported on Tuesday that all the parties involved in the dispute -- including Ben Arfa and PSG directors -- could be called to give evidence before the committee within two weeks. "The committee is going to examine our complaint and ask PSG to respond to it," Bertrand told Le Parisien. Bertrand says that forcing his client to train with youth players amounts to discrimination. A section of the LFP charter states that professionally-contracted players should only be demoted on a temporary basis for reasons linked exclusively to the management of the squad. Last Friday PSG manager Unai Emery told a news conference that Ben Arfa had been left out because he would not be involved in the matchday squad for that weekend's game against Bordeaux. The France international has not played for the Ligue 1 leaders this season after rejecting offers to leave the club over the summer. PSG were involved in a similar dispute in 2011. On that occasion the league ordered them to allow Peguy Luyindula to resume first-team training after the striker successfully appealed the club's decision to exclude him.
