Emery and Di Maria pleased with PSG's march to Coupe de La Ligue final

Unai Emery and Angel Di Maria were thrilled to see Paris Saint-Germain seal their spot in the Coupe de La Ligue final after beating Bordeaux 4-1 on Tuesday night.

Di Maria and Edinson Cavani netted a brace each while Diego Rolan scored the only goal for Bordeaux as the Parisians kept their domestic Treble dreams alive.

"We are very happy for our supporters," said Emery, whose PSG have won six matches in a row in all competitions.

"The team has shown big progression.

"We worked a lot, we improved on the field, and the result is there. 4-1, it's good for confidence! "We qualify for our first final of the year, and we will enjoy it with our supporters."

Despite being pleased with the victory, Emery quickly turned his attention to this weekend's massive Ligue 1 clash against leaders Monaco, where a win will see PSG go level on points with Leonardo Jardim's side.

"We must think about Sunday's match, which is important for the championship, and French football," he added.

"Monaco are in good shape at the moment, but we are also on a good dynamic. We therefore want to prepare well, play well, and communicate with our supporters."

Meanwhile, Argentina winger Di Maria who has started to find his form after a lacklustre end to 2016 is unfazed by the challenge of newcomer Julian Draxler, who joined PSG from Wolfsburg earlier this month.

"I'm happy to have scored both goals," Di Maria said. "We're going to the final and it's important for us.

"On the pitch, I do my best for the coach to choose the best player," Di Marial told Canal Plus.

"It depends on the coach and I do the best I can."
