PSG captain Thiago Silva happy to welcome Ultras to Parc des Princes

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has called upon the French champions' Ultra fans to create a "passionate atmosphere" at Parc des Princes when Unai Emery's men take on Bordeaux in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

After a successful meeting with the Parisian police earlier this week, PSG have obtained the green light from the authorities to start readmitting their estranged Ultras in a controlled manner.

Former Ultras will not actually be present at Parc des Princes this weekend as it will take some time for PSG, Paris police and the Paris Ultras Collective (CUP) to coordinate their efforts to get previously barred fans verified.

However, number of season ticket-holding ex-Ultras are expected to regroup in the Auteuil end of the stadium for the Bordeaux clash.

Brazilian defender Silva, 32, expressed his delight at welcoming them back but emphasised the need to behave "without any trouble."

"To our supporters, my teammates and I are writing to you to express how happy we are to welcome some of you back for our upcoming matches," a statement from Silva read on PSG's official website. "We need your support and support you in return.

"We can't wait to hear you on Saturday and, I hope, celebrate a win over Bordeaux. It is magnificent for us to be able to count on a passionate atmosphere at the Parc."

The atmosphere -- or lack of it -- at Parc des Princes, has been an issue for some time now and PSG have been looking into way to reintegrate their former Ultras for a while.

Silva admitted that the return of the Ligue 1 giants' "most passionate fans" was important.

"I have seen several videos of Parc des Princes from a few years ago," Silva said. "I was honestly impressed by the atmosphere that used to fill this stadium.

"I repeat, it is very important for us to count on our most passionate fans that push us on and inspire us towards victory. We are all excited by the thought of being on the pitch and hearing you singing! Allez Paris!"
