Paris Saint-Germain fans sentenced for clashing with Malmo supporters

Nineteen Paris Saint-Germain supporters have been sentenced for fighting with Malmo fans after the teams' Champions League encounter in the French capital last September.

The two sets of supporters clashed in the Parisian metro after PSG's 2-0 win at Parc des Princes and, as reported by Le Parisien at the time, six of the main protagonists were swiftly apprehended.

According to L'Equipe, the 19 supporters are all ex-members of former Ultra factions at the Auteuil end of PSG's stadium and five of them have been given jail time.

One fan was handed a 24-month sentence, another was given 18 months and three more received 18-month suspended sentences, with the five also being hit with five-year stadium bans.

The 14 other PSG supporters have been handed €3,000 fines and hit with three-year stadium bans.
