Lucas Moura: Paris Saint-Germain are tougher under Unai Emery

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Lucas Moura feels that new manager Unai Emery is already making a major difference to the French champions' performances.

PSG decided to replace Laurent Blanc with Emery last month and on Sunday the former Sevilla boss oversaw a 3-1 win over Inter Milan in their International Champions Cup match in Oregon.

It was PSG's second preseason success following a 2-1 victory over West Brom in Austria earlier this month and Moura believes that Emery's influence is already clear.

"I think we're starting to do the things that the new coach is asking of us," the Brazilian told L'Equipe. "Our team is a bit different this season. We're tougher.

"We had a good match today... everyone is going to see a good PSG this season. We're working a lot tactically and on our positioning. It's very intense.

"That's what we saw against Inter. As soon as we lose the ball, we try to get it back straight away. That wasn't the case before and it was a problem."

Right-back Serge Aurier scored twice in the win over Inter and he also feels things are going well under Emery.

"I'm happy for the team," Aurier told the PSG website. "We managed to put our game in place -- we respected the instructions of the coach.

"Even if there were some moments of hesitation, there were more positives than negatives."

PSG will face further tests in the United States later this week when they take on European champions Real Madrid in Columbus and Premier League title holders Leicester City in Carson.

Emery said he was "very pleased" with what he had seen so far.

"This match was very important in our programme of work," the Spaniard told PSG's official website. "It comes after several training sessions and that's where you see if the players are incorporating what we're able to work on.

"The result is not necessarily essential even if we always want to win. The most important thing is the work carried out by the players today. They're starting to get used to our way of playing and the matches allow them to improve their physical condition."
