Thiago Motta backs PSG boss Laurent Blanc amid Unai Emery reports

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has said he finds it tough to hear speculation that his manager Laurent Blanc could be replaced by Unai Emery.

Emery, 44, was already reported to be in advanced negotiations with PSG before he stepped down as Sevilla manager on Sunday leading to increased speculation that Blanc, 50, would be forced out.

Speculation around Blanc's future began after the Ligue 1 winners' failure to beat Manchester City in the Champions League quarterfinals.

Motta, 33, came on as a substitute for Italy in a 2-0 win over Belgium in their opening game of Euro 2016 on Monday.

Speaking after the game in Lyon, he indicated that he would be sad to see Blanc leave - especially since PSG completed a clean sweep of domestic trophies in each of the past two seasons.

"It's difficult to hear that at the moment," Motta told AFP.

"We've won eight titles with him in the past two years years all the same."

"I haven't had the time to follow what's happening in Paris. We're working a lot here."
