Gregory van der Wiel could miss Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League clash with Chelsea after undergoing surgery for appendicitis.
The Dutch international right-back scored a stunning goal in PSG's crushing 5-1 win against Angers on Saturday, but went under the knife on Sunday and now faces a spell on the sidelines.
Van der Wiel's club coach Laurent Blanc told a press conference on Tuesday: "It's not very serious, but unfortunately he will be out for a while. For a few weeks maybe."
PSG face Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League in Paris on Feb. 16, with the return leg at Stamford Bridge on March 9.
