PSG unveil special 'Je Suis Paris' jersey with no sponsors to honour victims

Paris Saint-Germain will wear Je Suis Paris -- I am Paris -- jerseys without any sponsors' logos in their next two games to honour the victims of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.

A series of coordinated terrorist attacks left 130 people dead and 368 more injured, with the Stade de France one of the targets as France faced Germany in an international friendly.

Ligue 1 champions unveiled a special jersey five days ago with the message Je Suis Paris beneath the club's logo on the chest, which they wore against Lorient on Saturday.

PSG have now decided to wear a modified version for the next two games, with the previous message replacing usual sponsors Emirates in the centre of the jersey.

A statement on the club's website read: "In tribute to the victims of Nov. 13 attacks, the Paris Saint-Germain players will wear a special jersey which only bears the message Je suis Paris for their next two matches -- against Malmo in the Champions League on Wednesday night, and again on Saturday in their Ligue 1 home match against Troyes.

"This message of unity will appear on the shirt in the space usually occupied by our main partner Emirates.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi would like to 'especially thank the club's partners Emirates, as well as Ooredoo and QNB, who have released their space on the players' jerseys.'"

Al Khelaifi said his club's match at Lorient was played in tribute to the victims of the terror attacks in the capital, adding: "Football must go on. We were here to show France's solidarity, that of Paris and the world.

"It was important to play. It wasn't easy, but life continues, everything can't stop here. The players, the coaching staff, everyone feels the same, everyone was affected by what happened. It was really, very difficult for us, especially for Paris."
