Angel Di Maria 'impossible to stop' after first PSG goal - Thiago Silva
Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria will prove "impossible to stop" if he keeps up his current form, according to club captain Thiago Silva.
Di Maria, 27, scored the opening goal for PSG in their 2-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League and Le Parisien's front page declared that the Argentine's standout performance had "enchanted" the Parc des Princes.
Di Maria's fourth-minute strike on Tuesday was his first for the French champions and his first at club level since he netted for Manchester United against Yeovil in the FA Cup in January.
The former Real Madrid player's darting runs and clever deliveries from the right were a constant threat to Malmo and Silva, 30, led the tributes after the game.
"He's an incredible player," the Brazilian centre-back told reporters. "When he plays like he did today -- one on one -- it's impossible to stop him.
"I think if we can take advantage of Di Maria's quality we can do even better."
David Luiz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were both quoted in Le Parisien as saying Di Maria's direct style made PSG more threatening.
Meanwhile, PSG manager Laurent Blanc said there was more to come from his €63 million summer signing, who had arrived in Paris late this summer following his involvement in the Copa America.
"I think we were right to rest him and work him physically rather than to hurry his return," Blanc said at a news conference. "He needed that and now he needs to string together some matches.
"He's a guy who brings us great passing ability but I think he can score a lot too. He said he hasn't often scored too many goals in a season but he's capable of it.
"Having another player like that in our squad obviously strengthens its quality."

Di Maria's goal came when he raced on to a pass from Marco Verratti before skilfully placing a left-foot shot from a tight angle into the top corner.
"It's easy when you're playing alongside great players," Di Maria told beIN Sports.
"It makes other teams afraid. The quality of players at PSG is impressive and we have to make the most of it."
