Zlatan Ibrahimovic dismisses Arsenal talk, calls AC Milan 'desperate'

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played down talk he could have moved to Arsenal, while labelling AC Milan's interest in him "a bit desperate."

The Gunners were linked with a deadline day swoop for Ibrahimovic, 33, with Arsene Wenger reported to have flown to Paris for negotiations.

The Sweden captain, however, has dismissed such speculation, but did reveal former club Milan were very keen on taking him back to the San Siro.

"No," Ibrahimovic is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying when pressed about Arsenal's reported interest. "The interest that existed, I have not committed myself to.

"It is [agent] Mino [Raiola] who takes care of the pieces. When I give notice that I want something to happen I get involved. But this summer I have been resting up, I enjoyed the holiday, but I know that Milan were a bit desperate."

Ibrahimovic, who spent two seasons with Milan, added on the Serie A club's interest: "It was concrete from their side.

"A lot of interest but I said from the beginning that I will stay with PSG. I like it, we have a good team, my family feel good and it's just positive with Paris and PSG. But they wanted, they wanted much."
