PSG's Adrien Rabiot left out of Coupe de France squad over lateness

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot was left out of the squad for the Coupe de France after arriving late for the team's departure.

Rabiot, 20, would have picked up the first Coupe de France winner's medal of his fledgling career had he not turned up at the Parc des Princes 12 minutes after the team coach had been scheduled to leave to take the squad to their pre-cup final hotel at 17:00 CET.

Reports claim the bus waited 10 minutes before finally leaving without Rabiot.

The youngster called a member of coach Laurent Blanc's staff to say he would join the squad on his own, but Blanc, 49, took the decision to punish Rabiot by leaving him out.

Le Parisien reported Rabiot, who was left out of Blanc's squad in the early months of last season before being drafted back in after signing a new contract, was angered by the PSG's boss' decision.
