PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic to play for eight more years - agent Mino Raiola

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent has told French media the Paris Saint-Germain star could carry on playing into his early forties after the pair struck a deal.

Ibrahimovic, 33, still has a year left on his PSG contract after extending the three-year deal he initially signed when he moved to the French capital from AC Milan in 2012.

Earlier this season, the Sweden captain suggested PSG would be his last big club in Europe but his long-time representative, Mino Raiola, told RMC that Ibrahimovic is unlikely to hang up his boots whenever he does leave the Parc des Princes.

"He still has eight years to work," Raiola said. "We struck a deal. He has worked for me for 15 years. Now, he's going to work his last eight years for me.

"That means his career could last another eight years. He's in great shape. I don't know if he's going to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for eight years, but he can play until he's 42-43 years old.

"He's happy in Paris. He tries to do his best, all the time. I think he's in top form. This year, he has had a few problems, but now, it's fine. The future, it's short.

"Every summer we see what happens. But he still has a year left on his contract come the end of the season. The club is very happy, so is he. I don't see any problem."

Raiola has represented Ibrahimovic since the forward first signalled his massive potential while at Ajax early in the first decade of the millennium.

After a self-proclaimed "best season of my career" last year during which he broke PSG's single-season scoring record, a heel injury has limited Ibrahimovic's contribution to PSG's cause this season.

Raiola, however, insisted the former Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona forward's remains hungry for success.

"Zlatan has always had the same will to continue to be the best," he continued. "Of course, he's not used to being off the pitch due to injury. But he has never told me, 'I'm sick of this, I don't want to train anymore, I don't care if I win or lose.'

"Zlatan has never told me anything like that. He still has the same motivation to win. He is still just as much a perfectionist. That's his mentality. He still has the same hunger as when I found him at Ajax. He has even improved in that respect."

Ibrahimovic has played alongside Maxwell at three clubs since the pair met at Ajax. The 33-year-old Brazil international is out of contract at PSG next summer, but Raiola, who also represents the former Inter and Barca full-back, told RMC a new deal is in the offing.

"We have a deal for Max. We have to put everything down on paper, but I don't think there will be a problem with his extension," revealed Raiola, adding another client, Gregory van der Wiel, is also hoping to extend his PSG stay.

"We're talking about an extension. But we still haven't reached an agreement. I hope we'll manage to do that, because there are a lot of interested clubs in England, Spain, Italy and Germany. I hope we'll do it, but we still don't have a deal."

Netherlands international Van der Wiel, 27, signed a four-year contract with PSG after joining them from Ajax in 2012.
