Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi show 'lack of respect,' Laurent Blanc says

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has accused Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi of showing a "total lack of respect" after returning late from their Christmas holidays.

The pair will sit out a second game in a row, having missed the Coupe de France midweek win over Montpellier, when the capital side play Bastia on Saturday.

Uruguayan Cavani and Argentinian Lavezzi returned to the club last weekend but by that stage had missed a mid-season camp in Morocco, and both have been fined while also forfeiting their first-team places for the short term at least.

Both have been linked with January moves away from the Parc des Princes.

"These two players have done something unacceptable," Blanc said. "It's a total lack of respect towards the club.

"It's to be expected that the decision to punish them was unanimous."

Blanc said both have "worked well" in training this week and have been "professional", but added: "I would have liked them to be like that beforehand."
