PSG deny Antonio Conte reports

Paris Saint-Germain have dismissed a report in the Italian press claiming Antonio Conte was set to take charge of the Ligue 1 champions, according to French media.

The Corriere dello Sport reported on Wednesday that former Juventus boss Conte, 44, could take over from Laurent Blanc within hours.

However, L'Equipe said that PSG had denied "all contact" with the former Italy international, who recently left Juventus after leading them to three Serie A titles in a row.

Without naming their source at the club, L'Equipe's report claimed PSG suspected the rumour was spread by Conte's representatives to try to put pressure on another club that the former Juventus midfielder was negotiating with.

RMC also cited a source close to PSG, who told them the rumour was "completely groundless" and added: "Why change a few days before the start of the season when everything is going well with Blanc? It's really ridiculous."

Blanc won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue in his first season in charge.
