Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic is mulling over a number of injury worries ahead of their Absa Premiership clash away at in-form Chippa United on February 25.

He will be happy for the 10-day break as he tries to get some of his influential stars ready for what will be a difficult away day in Port Elizabeth.

The Buccaneers have finally started to hit form with five wins and a draw in their last seven matches, and Sredojevic will be loath to make too many changes to his successful side.

Key midfielder Mpho Makola looks a major doubt for the clash with a back injury, while right-back Diamond Thopola is suffering from a quad strain.

Fellow defender Gladwin Shitolo is also a doubt with an ankle injury, which would leave the side thin at the back, especially as Abbubaker Mobara is still making his way back from injury.

Definitely out is winger Thabo Qalinge, who has been given the all-clear to start strength and conditioning training, but is some way away from making it back onto the pitch.

Pirates are currently in second place in the Absa Premiership, five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, though they have played a game more.
