Abia Warriors recorded the solitary away victory on Matchday 33, winning a six-goal thriller in Makurdi. The top four teams remain unchanged following impressive performances the road by both Plateau United and Enyimba.

Kano Pillars 1 Plateau United 1

Plateau United got the job done at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, earning a priceless away point against Kano Pillars, and ending the home teams seven-game winning streak on the ground.

Ibeh Johnson put the leaders ahead in the 17th minute, when he took advantage of a weak defensive clearance to silence the home support. Hamza Tiya drew seventh-place Kano Pillars level early in the second half.

The result means Plateau United maintain their three-point lead at the top, and they remain well on course to win a maiden league title with five games of the season to play.

MFM FC 0 Enyimba 0

MFM FC and Enyimba played out a customary draw in Lagos -- a fourth in succession.

Second-place MFM FC failed to close the gap on the leaders, as they drew at home only for the second time this season, while fourth-place Enyimba are now level on points with Akwa United in their late surge for a continental ticket.

Lobi Stars 2 Abia Warriors 4

Abia Warriors earned maximum points in a six-goal thriller against Lobi Stars in Makurdi, to ease their relegation worries.

Kingsley Eduwo of Lobi Stars and Sunday Adetunji of Abia Warriors both netted a brace, their 12th and 14th goals of the season respectively. Anthony Okemmiri and Chineye Agoha were the other goalscorers for the visitors to ended Lobi's 80 game unbeaten home record.

But the win came at a huge cost for the Warriors, who had top scorer Adetunji stretched off with a suspected broken hand, an injury which could end both his season and his involvement with the CHAN Eagles.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah 1 Nasarawa United 0

Seka Pascal's first-half strike was enough to earn FC Ifeanyi Ubah a win against Nasarawa United, who dropped to ninth place.

The home team were in the driving seat for the duration of the game, missing big opportunities through Huan John and Pascal to extend their lead. The win moves FC Ifeanyi Ubah to fifth place, an added reward for stretching their unbeaten run to three games.

ABS FC 2 - 0 Remo Stars

Goals in either half from Samuel Oyedeji and Wasiu Alalade, handed relegation-threatened ABS FC a morale boosting home win against bottom club Remo Stars.

Oyedeji got the ball rolling by converting from the spot in the 18th-minute. Alalade put the game to bed in second-half stoppage time to ensure the home team can enjoy some temporary respite.

Sunshine Stars 1 Akwa United 0

Ajibola Otegbeye's 16th-minute penalty proved to be game clincher for Sunshine Stars against third-place Akwa United.

Sunshine Stars earned a third victory in their last five matches, a win which sees them cement 11th place, while Akwa United are now level on points with Enyimba after playing a third successive away game, picking a solitary point in that period.

Shooting Stars 2 Gombe United 1

Two goals within the space of seven second-half minutes completed a remarkable comeback for Shooting Stars against Gombe United in Ibadan.

Musa Usman gave the away team the lead by netting a 30-yard wonder goal, which silenced the home crowd. Seun Akinyemi equalised for Shooting Stars from the spot in the 72nd minute, before Najeem Olukokun completed the turnaround seven minutes later.

The win eases Shooting Stars relegation worries, moving a point clear of the drop zone into 14th place, while Gombe United remain stuck in 19th place.

Wikki Tourists 1 Enugu Rangers 1

Wikki Tourists and Enugu Rangers shared the spoils in Bauchi on Sunday, in an ill-tempered game which saw the home fans losing their cool.

Bright Silas handed the about-to-be dethroned champions a shocking away lead against the run of play in the 15th minute. Chinedu Onyelonu pulled Wikki level via his deflected effort.

Goalkeeper Seidu Mutawakilu proved to be the hero for 15th-place Enugu Rangers, making a string of impressive saves in the second half, to deny the home team a win, which would have seen them move above 13th-place.
