Revolution exercise options on 12 players, not top pick Jordan McCrary

The New England Revolution picked up the option on 12 players on Monday, including forwards Juan Agudelo and defender Andrew Farrell.

Also returning for 2017 will be defenders Je-Vaughn Watson, Chris Tierney, London Woodberry and Donnie Smith; midfielder Zachary Herivaux; forwards Teal Bunbury and Femi Hollinger-Janzen; and goalkeepers Cody Cropper, Brad Knighton and Matt Turner.

The Revs did not exercise the options on defender Jordan McCrary, whom the club took with the 10th pick in the most recent SuperDraft, or midfielder Steve Neumann, who made five starts overs three seasons.

Third-round pick Hollinger-Janzen is the only player from the Revs' 2016 draft class still under contract after second-round pick Michael Gamble was waived in June.

Neumann was the Revs' top pick -- fourth overall -- in 2014.
