Herve Renard has moved to shut down rumours in the local press that he's planning to quit his post as Morocco head coach after the World Cup.
Various elements within the Moroccan media have suggested that the Frenchman is already planning to jump ship and join up with the Algeria national side after the tournament.
The 49-year-old coach took to social media on Tuesday to dismiss the suggestion and call out the publications that were promulgating lies about his future.
"The preparation for the next World Cup is ongoing and bad spirits are reappearing to destabilise and perturb the serenity of the Moroccan national side," began Renard's statement, as posted on his @Herve_Renard_HR handle.

"In order to immediately cut short the unfounded rumours and speculation reported by certain medias today (Al Akhbar and picked up by 360.ma sport...), I say calmly but strongly: 'I am very, very well with Morocco!'
"At the moment I am only preoccupied by the desire to achieve the best journey possible during this World Cup in Russia, which the Moroccan people have been waiting 20 years for.
"Nothing or nobody can take away our will to put all of our assets into achieving it."
Renard took the top job in Morocco in February 2016 having won the African Cup of Nations with Zambia (2012) and the Ivory Coast (2015). He's also previously managed the Angolan national side, and also had stints with Sochaux, LOSC Lille and USM Alger among others.
The Aix-les-Bains-born coach oversaw a comfortable qualifying campaign for Morocco, who didn't concede a single goal during their six group games en route to Russia.
"If these underhanded tactics are unhappily ongoing as we approach the big moment, they don't honour their authors, hidden behind a pseudonym.
"I respond to them with this Arab proverb: 'The dogs bark and the caravan goes on!'"
Morocco have been pitted against Iran, Spain and Portugal in an ominous Group B at this summer's showpiece in Russia.
