The presence of Herve Renard, the head coach of Morocco's full national side, isn't adding pressure on the African Nations Championship squad, believes CHAN boss Jamal Sellami.
The French coach has been a notable presence at the Atlas Lions' matches and training sessions as they look to win the CHAN title on home soil, and Sellami believes that his appearance in Morocco can be a motivating factor for the players.
"It's important for us [that he's here]," Sellami told journalists on Friday. "He brings his vision and his experience.
"He's the head coach for the A team, and he needs some of the players from my group, so it's normal that he assists us from time to time."
Sellami's side are currently preparing for Saturday's CHAN quarter final against Namibia in Casablanca after beating Mauritania and Guinea, and drawing with Sudan, to progress as Group A winners.
"For the players, [his presence] is also a motivation," Sellami added, "but not a pressure."
Renard had a long meeting with Sellami during a training session on Tuesday, in which the duo discussed tactical and technical exercises and exchanged notes on the squad's progress during the tournament.
The Frenchman, who has previously overseen the national sides of the Ivory Coast and Zambia, oversaw a first successful Moroccan qualification for the World Cup since 1998.
However, the North African heavyweights have their work cut out to reach the Last 16 in Russia after being drawn alongside Spain, Portugal and Iran in Group B.
