Millwall's Tim Cahill suspended after accepting charge of violent conduct

Millwall forward Tim Cahill has been banned for three matches after accepting a charge of violent conduct.

The 38-year-old was charged by the Football Association retrospectively after the Australia international escaped punishment having appeared to elbow Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks during his side's 3-0 defeat last Friday.

Cahill will miss the last two games of the Championship season as Millwall look to secure a play-off place.

"Tim Cahill will miss Millwall's next three matches after he admitted a charge of violent conduct," an FA statement reads.

"The incident, which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video, occurred in the 85th minute of Friday's game against Fulham."
