Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez: Juan Carlos Osorio best coach I've had with Mexico

West Ham United striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez heaped praise on former Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio after it was announced Friday that the Colombian would not be continuing in the job.

Hernandez was a regular under Osorio and spoke highly of him during his almost three-year spell in charge.

"Thanks for these three years, coach," wrote Hernandez on his Instagram account. "Thanks for so much."

He continued: "Mixed feelings. Thankfulness is the one that stands out because our paths crossed. Thanks for the trust, faith, security, work, learning, daring, support, honesty, consistency, openness, growth, communication [and] the strength to be able to withstand so many things that were said and much more.

Gracias por estos 3 años profe. Gracias por tanto. Sentimientos encontrados.

"You are one of the best coaches I've had [and] the best I've had in the national team without any doubt. I admire and respect you a lot, coach! You are an extraordinary coach, but especially a human being that I'm proud to have known and shared so many things together."

Osorio guided Mexico to the round of 16 at Russia 2018, but didn't want to renew his contract with El Tri and will now look for work. Rumors link him to the United States and Colombia jobs.

Hernandez became the country's top goal-scorer with the national team during Osorio's time in charge and was in the starting XI in all four of Mexico's games in Russia.
