Mexico defender Carlos Salcedo is targeting a place in the World Cup semifinals after returning to Eintracht Frankfurt training five weeks after surgery on a fractured collarbone. Salcedo, 24, suffered his second shoulder injury in the space of a year during Mexico's game against Croatia in March. But with a month to go until El Tri coach Juan Carlos Osorio announces his 23-man World Cup squad he said: "Our goal is to reach the last four." Mexico play Germany, South Korea and Sweden in Group F. With three Bundesliga matches remaining, Salcedo is targeting a return to the squad for at least the DFB-Pokal final on May 19. Injuries have limited him to 21 competitive matches and 18 starts at Frankfurt, to whom he is on loan from Mexican club Deportivo Guadalajara. Frankfurt have an option to make the deal permanent but have yet to make a decision. "My agent will get here next Monday, and there will be a meeting," Salcedo said. "I feel at home here, and Frankfurt have given me a lot. I got a lot of support from the fans. "I hope I can stay here for a long time."
