Javier Hernandez can deal with David Moyes arrival at West Ham - Osorio

BRUSSELS -- Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio says he doesn't believe the arrival of David Moyes as West Ham manager will affect Javier Hernandez's opportunities and form ahead of the World Cup.

Earlier this week, Moyes was appointed as the new manager at the London Stadium following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.

Moyes started Hernandez in only five Premier League games during his spell in charge of Manchester United in the 2013-14 season.

But Osorio told a news conference ahead of Mexico's friendly against Belgium: "Javier is an intelligent person.

"He knows he is in another club and it's the start of a new relationship. The perspectives and necessities are different at West Ham, who aren't fighting in the top three places like United.

"Javier will take it as a fresh challenge to win the starting spot."

Hernandez signed for West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and has scored four goals in 11 Premier League games.

The striker, with the Mexico squad for their games against Belgium and Poland, is yet to speak to the media about the appointment of Moyes.

Meanwhile, Osorio praised in-form winger Hirving Lozano, who moved to PSV Eindhoven in the summer and has nine goals from his first nine games.

"Hirving's great performances don't surprise us -- he's a magnificent player with great attributes and he's an amazing human being," Osorio said.

"He's the typical example of a Mexican player that needs an opportunity. The greater amount of Mexican players in Europe, the greater the level of the national team.

"Hirving is an example for many to follow. Hopefully he earns the right to go to another league.

"The Netherlands and PSV are respectable, but in the personal development of the player they should be thinking of other leagues like the Bundesliga, the Premier League, Spain or Italy."
