Mexico includes four players from under-23s in squad for friendly

Mexico has named a 22-player squad for next Wednesday's friendly in Miami against Senegal, with four under-23 players getting an opportunity to impress coach Juan Carlos Osorio.

Pachuca trio Rodolfo Pizarro, Erick Gutierrez and Hirving Lozano, as well as Chivas' Carlos Salcedo are all set to feature for Mexico at the Olympics this summer and have now been brought into the full squad.

It is the first call-up up to El Tri for midfielder winger Lozano and midfielder Gutierrez, while Pizarro and Salcedo already won caps under former coach Miguel Herrera.

In the goalkeeping department, there was a surprise call-up for 34-year-old Pumas stopper Alejandro "Pikolin" Palacios and a return to the national team for Cruz Azul veteran Jesus Corona.

Only one player was called up from Chivas because of the club's reluctance to allow players to leave, with the Guadalajara institution involved in a relegation scrap this season and the friendly not falling on a FIFA international date.

The game against the African nation is Mexico's first of 2016 and will be preparation for March's World Cup qualifying double-header against Canada.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Alejandro Palacios (Pumas), Jesus Corona (Cruz Azul)
