America boss Miguel Herrera involved in car-motorcycle accident in Mexico City

Club America coach Miguel Herrera was involved in a minor traffic incident where he collided with a motorcyclist on Periferico Sur, one of the major roads in Mexico City.

The accident occurred when the motorcyclist, named Ricardo Roa, allegedly tried to pass Herrera's car. He collided with his rear-view mirror, fell and skidded, explained the insurance agent who helped America's coach.

"He hit my mirror. It was an accident, it does not matter who's at fault. Could be me or him, it was just a minor accident, nothing happened," said Herrera, seen here in video taken at the accident scene.

The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries to his leg and left arm, according to the insurance agent.

America issued an official statement about the accident: "A motorcyclist who was driving between lanes made contact with the rearview mirror of Miguel Herrera's car, he lost control and fell.

"Herrera helped the driver involved, who was attended by emergency services and he's in a fair condition."
