Man United should build team around Pogba - Bolt

Manchester United should keep Paul Pogba and build their team around him, sprint legend Usain Bolt has said.

Pogba is reported to be a summer target for Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and Juventus have also been linked with a move for their former star, although sources have told ESPN FC that United doubt Juve could afford to re-sign him.

- When does the transfer window close?

United insist Pogba is not for sale and Bolt, an avid supporter who only recently abandoned his plans for a career in professional football, said they should do whatever it took to keep the France international for the long term.

"Pogba is a friend of mine," he said ahead of the Soccer Aid for UNICEF match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. "I am a massive fan of his. They need to build the team around him. That is what I personally think.

"If you watch him when he is at Juventus and for France, he is outstanding because he has good strikers and good people who know how he plays and how he runs off the ball. He is a great passer.

"Listen, it doesn't matter about how someone cuts their hair or whatever as long as, when he comes on the field, he shows up.

"As I said if you build the right team around him, give him the right strikers to play with who understand how he plays, then he will do great."

United made their first signing of the summer with the £15 million capture of winger Daniel James from Swansea this week, and have been linked with a bid to bring in Barcelona target Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.

"It would be a proper signing because him and Pogba play very well together, play for the same country," Bolt said of Griezmann.

"You never know. People will say whatever. Until it happens, I won't get my hopes up."

Soccer Aid for Unicef will be broadcast live on ITV in the UK on Sunday 16th June, starting at 6:30 p.m. To donate to Unicef, visit socceraid.org.uk
