Manchester United forward Shola Shoretire has become the youngest player to appear in the UEFA Youth League at just 14.
The winger was introduced in the 74th minute of the 2-1 win over Valencia on Wednesday at just 14 years at 314 days and in doing so he became the youngest player to make an appearance in the Youth League -- a European competition for U19 teams.
Shoretire, who has trained with England at youth level but is also eligible to represent Nigeria, travelled to Spain with Nicky Butt's squad after 17-year-old pair Mason Greenwood and James Garner were called up to the senior team.
The U19s were already sure of a spot in the knockout rounds but made sure they finished the group stage unbeaten after goals from Nishan Burkart and Aidan Barlow saw United come from behind to beat Valencia 2-1.
