Manchester United's Paul Pogba must end Jose Mourinho 'duel' - Emmanuel Petit

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba should stop "sulking" and making his situation a "duel" with manager Jose Mourinho, former France and Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has told RMC.

Pogba -- who became the world's most expensive player when he returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016 -- has started half United's last six games on the bench, including both legs of the Champions League exit to Sevilla.

And Petit urged him to stop sending out "negative signals."

"Paul, I'll give him a little bit of advice -- change attitude a bit," Petit said.

"He should stop making it a Mourinho-Pogba duel, because the club of Manchester United is much more important than those two guys.

"Right now, he's making it personal and you can clearly see that on the pitch as he is sending out a lot of negative signals.

"It gets tiresome when you're sulking permanently."

Earlier this week, Roy Keane said Pogba "did nothing" when he came off the bench in United's 2-1 home defeat to Sevilla and is a "problem" for the club.

Former United captain Keane told ITV that Mourinho faces a challenge to get the best from the club's record signing.
