Man United's David De Gea on wonder stop from Luis Muriel: 'I made a save'

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea played down his amazing save from Sevilla's Luis Muriel in the 0-0 draw in the Champions League.

De Gea made eight saves in the game, with two superb stops from Steven N'Zonzi and Muriel right at the end of the first half.

Muriel in particular looked certain to score, but De Gea reacted brilliantly to his point-blank header to push it over the bar.

"It was at the last minute of the first half, it was an important moment of the game," De Gea told BT Sport. "I made a save, I'm happy for that."

Meanwhile, Chris Smalling said United were happy with the goalless draw and confident of completing the job at Old Trafford in three weeks.

"You could tell they tired in that second half, the last 20 minutes when we were trying to pressure," he added. "It was very open in that second half but it's a result and we're confident at home."
