Manchester United's Paul Pogba visits Mecca to mark start of Ramadan

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is on a pilgrimage to Mecca as he begins his summer away from football.

Pogba, 24, visited Islam's holiest city to mark the start of Ramadan. He is attending Umrah, a Muslim pilgrimage.

The France international shared a picture on Instagram on Sunday with the caption "most beautiful thing I've seen in my life." He later tweeted "happy Ramadan."

The world's most expensive footballer was instrumental in United's Europa League success in Stockholm, scoring the first goal in the 2-0 win over Ajax.

He is set for six weeks off before returning to Carrington on July 8 ahead of United's preseason tour of the United States.
