Man United's Axel Tuanzebe left out of England U20 World Cup squad

Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe has been left out of the England Under-20 World Cup squad, with the FA citing "first-team commitments" at Old Trafford.

Tuanzebe, 19, made his Premier League debut in the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The England U20 squad were due to meet at St George's Park on Monday ahead of the tournament in South Korea.

But defender Tuanzebe, who made his senior debut against Wigan in the FA Cup in January, will instead remain at Old Trafford until the end of the season.

"Patrick Roberts, Axel Tuanzebe and Izzy Brown have been declared unavailable for the trip due to first-team commitments with Celtic, Manchester United and Huddersfield Town respectively," a statement on the FA website said.

It means Tuanzebe will be available for United's final three league games of the season against Tottenham, Southampton and Crystal Palace.

He will also be able to play in the Europa League semifinal second leg against Celta Vigo at Old Trafford on Thursday and a possible final in Stockholm on May 24.

The youngster earned rave reviews from Jose Mourinho after the Arsenal game, with the manager telling Sky Sports: "I think he did an amazing job. The kid really played very well."

Meanwhile, United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, 19, has been included in Paul Simpson's 21-man squad for the U20 tournament, in which England face Argentina, Guinea and South Korea in Group A.
