Man United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic: French media will always talk about me

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told Aftonbladet he was pleased with Paris Saint-Germain's thrashing of Barcelona and said the French media "will always talk about me."

Ibrahimovic, who left PSG for Old Trafford in the summer, was back in France on Wednesday to help Jose Mourinho's men to a 4-0 aggregate Europa League win over St Etienne.

Speaking after the game, Ibrahimovic offered his support to PSG and said their 4-0 win over Barca was "a good match," adding: "Of course, of course, I wish them well. I have been at the club, after all."

Ibrahimovic, who has never won the Champions League despite a hugely successful career, pointed out that the French press still like to mention him as often as possible despite his exit.

"When they win, people talk about me and when they lose, people talk about me," he said. "They will always talk about me."

The 35-year-old has excelled since joining United on a free transfer and is targeting his 32nd individual piece of silverware in Sunday's EFL Cup final at Wembley.
