Man United's Marcus Rashford must take his chance - Wes Brown

Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford must take his chance to impress Jose Mourinho if he plays against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup this weekend, according to Wes Brown.

Brown, now a player-coach at Championship side Blackburn, will not want Rashford to do too well, but insists that the 19-year-old needs to make the most of his opportunities if he gets his first start in three games.

"It's hard," the 37-year-old told the MEN. "I remember when I got through, it's not as bad as this, but you know you have got a couple of games to show what you can do otherwise you get dropped back again.

"It's not the end and he has obviously done fantastic. At the moment he has not played that much, he has come on as a sub. He is young and I am sure Mourinho has got him in his plans for the future."

Brown left United in 2011 and moved to Sunderland before joining Blackburn last season. The defender has beaten United twice since his departure, both with Sunderland during the 2013-14 season, but insists that Rovers have no pressure this time round.

"It's good for us. I see it as no pressure on us, we can go out and enjoy it," he added. "We've got to be positive and enjoy the game, take it to them a little bit. I reckon they'll probably have a few changes.

"Any team they put out, even if he does change it a lot, there'll be players out there who want to show what they can do.

"I don't think they'll take their foot off the gas but it's good for us to be at home. I'm sure there'll be more in than for previous games and I think that will help us."
